Haddo House Estate

Haddo House was designed by William Adam in 1732 and is now open to the public. The vast grounds of Haddo, which boast a large variety of trees including beech, horse chestnut, and lime, also contains many different species of wildlife: Red squirrels and chaffinches can be found in the treetops, ducks, swans and geese occupy the many lakes and ponds while hedgehogs, rabbits and a large variety of insects inhabit the forest floor.

How to Get There The entrance to the park is situated on the Ellon to Tarves road on the right just past the turn for Tanglandford. Leave Ellon on the B9005 road towards Methlick. Do not turn sharp right at Kinharrachie Cottages but continue straight on for approximately a further 4 miles. Alternatively, Haddo is signed from the B999 at the turnoff just before the village of Tarves.
